Bulls Eye – with an Ax!

bullseye1Thanks for sending this one in. This is a great image of the Ax Throwing contest from this year’s Lumber Jack Days. We think there should be an Ax throwing contest 4 times a year. Crime of the Week – special Felton edition

Sorry Boulder Creek, this week nearby Felton just takes the cake . . .. From the crime log.

April 22
Three men from Salinas met another man in Felton and stole more than 1 pound of marijuana at gunpoint. Deputies responded to the scene and conducted a high-risk traffic stop at the corner of Highway 9 and Graham Hill Road at 9 p.m. The deputies discovered the marijuana and two loaded firearms in a backpack, and the driver was found with a concealed dagger hanging from his neck.

March 22
A woman reported at 6:50 p.m. that her ex-boyfriend called her cell phone 160 times and put water in the oil and gas tanks of her vehicle in Felton. (editor’s note – it MUST be love)

Lumber Jack Days – this weekend – behind True Value

LumberJack Days – an annual Boulder Creek event – will be held this weekend and honestly it is a great time and not to be missed. There will be food and other activities and of course, the LumberJack Games, which test the skill and speed of our chainsaw-wielding BC neighbors. Events include a tree slicing race with different classes of chainsaws from “stock” to modified.

Is the guy parked out front of that store on Highway 9 selling firewood a real tree man?.. or is he just selling drugs out the back of his truck? Come this weekend to see the real lumberjacks show their skill.

Crime of the Week

From the Police dispatch report . . . .

April 11
A pit bull broke from its leash and attacked another pit bull that was walking by at 1:49 p.m. on the 100 block of Pool Drive in Boulder Creek. An altercation between the owners ensued, and one of the owners fell to the ground, breaking his hip. His dog was stabbed with a knife to stop it from attacking the other dog.

Ferrari Flipped on Bear Creek Road

loser

If you ever travel on Bear Creek Road, you know the routine…. Some jackass (or ‘running-late’ commuter) will ride your ass to make up that extra 45 seconds. The protocol (which works pretty well) is to pull over, and then they will graciously thank you by flashing their hazards as they pass.

This past weekend, some 23-year old woman driving her boss’ Ferrari flipped it over while “slowly driving down Bear Creek Road.” She said she was not going over the speed limit.. . . . . . to that I say B.S.! Thankfully no one was hurt, but as a resident of Boulder Creek, I can only say “Slow the hell down! Families with children and innocent people travel that road.”
