Mother’s Day Shop Hop
Below are pictures from the drawing after the Mothers Day Shop Hop. The $500 cash winner is Lani of Boulder Creek.
Ann Marie Conrad of Boulder Creek Hardware drew the winning tickets. There were twenty 2nd place winners, winning massages, camping reservations, wine, gift certificates, and lots more.
Note the cute fairy costume won by one mom, for her daughter!

San Francisco Chronicle: Bay Area’s No. 1 hike destination – Boulder Creek
Tom Stienstra at the San Francisco Chronicle has named Big Basin and in particular the Berry Creek Falls hike as the #1 hike destiniation in the Bay Area. From the article:
“Berry Creek Falls is the No. 1 hiking destination of any park in the greater Bay Area’s nine counties. It’s one of my favorite spots in the world. I try to hike it every year in the spring for a personal birthday present.”

We have some really fine beer made right here in downtown Boulder Creek. Pictured is Michael Demers, the Brewmaster at Boulder Creek Brewery. An SLV native, Michael has been brewing for over 14 years.
The Brewery has good food, killer beer and live bluegrass/mountain tunes on Thursdays and Sundays . . .
The Boulder Creek Rye Pale Ale is a personal recommendation.

KION: Boulder Creek Army Reservist Competes For 2012 Miss California
Boulder Creek native and Iraq veteran Denise Berry will be competing in the Miss California 2012 pageant. We checked in with Denise and her father still lives here in Boulder Creek.
While she raised enough to enter the competition, Denise is looking for support to help purchase clothing, hair and travel.
We think she has a great chance of winning – and maybe taking the Miss USA title…. Go Boulder Creek!
