Day time road closures of Bear Creek Road for slide repairs are scheduled to take place from September 10, to October 12, 2012. The road will remain open in the evenings.

The road will be closed between the Presentation Center (2 miles south of Hwy 17 at Lexington) and Summit Road from Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Detours will be set up daily via Black Road and Thompson Road at the bottom of the hill and via Summit and Hwy 17.

The road will be reopened following completion of work each day, remain open during the evenings, and be reclosed each morning.  The contractor’s equipment will occupy the roadway and only emergency vehicles will be able to pass during the closure.
