We’ve had quite a wild ride from our current SLVWD board members. They have doubled the price we pay for water, while we are footing the legal bills to defend a board member charged in a conflict of interest case.
Well, instead of focusing on providing water service, the SLVWD is considering more litigation, that will, again, be paid for by water rate-payers. This time it is to silence Bill Smallman, who saw it fit to let rate-payers know how their money is being spent… especially in light of the litigation ratepayers are paying for around Terry Vierra.
The original judgment against Vierra was $10,000… now ratepayers are footing a bill of roughly $200,000! (see below for more news links covering this)
During last week’s meeting, held in downtown Boulder Creek, the board decided to take matters behind closed doors!
