Drunk Boulder Creek Resident Shuts Down Highway 9

Considering the tragedies this town has experienced with drunk drivers this is a bit disconcerting to know. This happened at 3:40 p.m. – right when children are heading home from school.

From the article:

“According to CHP, Dionisia Verduzco was driving down Highway 9 in Ben Lomond when she crossed the double yellow lines and collided with a big rig traveling southbound Tuesday afternoon.

Verduzco’s Toyota then sideswiped a BMW, which then struck a fire hydrant. After that Verduzco collided head-on with a 4Runner.”

Sentinel: Woman threatens to rob Boulder Creek bank, then walks out

We’ve received a tip of strange activity from someone who was inside today at the Liberty Bank in Boulder Creek.

Lindsay Malissa Phillips who graced Santa Cruz’s most wanted list, was arrested in Boulder Creek on Highway 9 near West Park Avenue.

Boulder Creek woman arrested on suspicion of drug sales

The Santa Cruz Sentinel is reporting that a Boulder Creek resident was arrested after being caught with more than one and a half ounces of methamphetamine, more than two ounces of cocaine, more than $2,400 cash and more. Click HERE for the full article.

Fire Bug and Phone Pranker gets Arrested . . .

Don’t make Larry Bourdeau mad or.. He’ll try to burn your house down!

Larry was arrested this week for making 7 prank phone calls to 911. He dialed 911 from every pay phone in Boulder Creek and then left the phone off of the hook. He was later booked for trying to set fire to the Mountain Store. It sounds like two “hero” teenagers put the fire out at the Mountain Store.

Boulder Creek is a great town with a lot of potential – mostly good people, good families doing their best to enjoy this amazing, beautiful place. But, as we all know and see everyday, there is another side to this town. . . .

There’s been a bit much of bad news, bad people, bad things and while we’d like to ignore it and pretend it doesn’t exist, we think it’s important to let it be known. In light of this decision, we’re beginning a new theme titled “Trash.” This is for all the meth heads, all the animal abusers, infant abusers, neo nazi wimpy white boys etc…. . .
