Local Man Found Dead in the Creek

“John” a person many may know as the guy who has been standing on HighWay 9 holding a “Work Wanted” sign for the past year, was found dead in the creek – Boulder Creek – yesterday. Cause of death is not yet known, but it appears as though there was no foul play. John was homeless and also  suffered from seizures which may have contributed to his death.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel has reported although they currently have not confirmed the identity. Click HERE

Bear Creek Rd. Gets a Face Lift

Good news for those going “over the hill” to San Jose, San Francisco or where ever. The top of Bear Creek Road (once the “sketchiest” part) has been widened and repaved. It’s MUCH better.

Crash Closes HWY 9

Looks like the closure of Highway 9 yesterday may have been caused by a drunken crash by a Boulder Creek resident. . . . .at 9:00 a.m. !
