LAST DAYS – SLV Museums’ Special Smithsonian Exhibit
The exhibit has been extended for one more day, so if you have not seen it yet catch it before it’s gone. The last days is this Saturday and Sunday from 12:00noon – 4:00pm.
SLV Museum’s exhibit “The Way We Worked”, is a Smithsonian exhibition which have exhibits all over the United States. Our exhibit is from March 9 – April 12 now till April 13, 2014. The Way We Worked, is adapted from the original exhibition developed by the National Archives, explores how work became such a central element in American culture by tracing the many changes that affected the workforce and work environments over the past 150 years. The exhibition draws from the Archives’ rich collections to tell this compelling story. The exhibition invites visitors to hear workers tell their own stories, or view films of various industries. Interactive components convey the experiences of multiple generations of families involved in the same industry. So go see it before it’s gone!

Weather officials are warning that a unique set of conditions is creating a 92% chance of snow, beginning tonight at 11pm and lasting through tomorrow morning. Now would be a good time to prepare with sand, salt, shovels and other items to stay warm during this unheard of blizzard.
