Good Times: This year’s DIO Fest brings out Santa Cruz’s best for Camp Krem

It comes full circle when this weekend’s DIO Fest brings out some of the Santa Cruz music scene’s most popular artists to help raise funds for Camp Krem’s new program, which will include a music teacher for the summer.

The three-day camping festival kicks off Friday, April 25 with 21 bands, including Dan P. & the Bricks, Marty O’Reilly, North Pacific String Band and a reunion of Birdhouse.

WHAT:  SNAPSHOT STORIES:  Add your photos to the Santa Cruz Public Libraries’ Archive

WHERE:  San Lorenzo Valley Museum, 12547 Hwy 9 in Boulder Creek

WHEN:  Saturday, April 26, 2014 from Noon to 4pm

Bring your family’s historical snapshots (from long ago or just last week) to our next Snapshot Stories event at the San Lorenzo Valley Museum.  The museum is seeking images of the San Lorenzo Valley region: people, places or events, but photos from all regions of Santa Cruz County are welcome.

Your photos will be scanned and returned along with a USB drive containing an electronic copy of all photos.  Your images will become part of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries’ Local History Archive.

Let’s tell the world the unique story of our local and regional history.

Weather Alert: 3-7 inches of Snow Tomorrow

Weather officials are warning that a unique set of conditions is creating a 92% chance of snow, beginning tonight at 11pm and lasting through tomorrow morning. Now would be a good time to prepare with sand, salt, shovels and other items to stay warm during this unheard of blizzard.
