90.1 KBCZ radio station is getting closer to being on the air, they are having a meeting / workshop this Saturday from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the BC Rec Annex Room. Find out where they are in the process of going live, streaming radio, and the workings of the station itself.
They want to here from you! They are currently looking for volunteers interested in the areas of technical knowledge, fundraising, marketing, and programming. No experience is necessary.
KBCZ will be a non-commercial local FM Radio station at 90.1FM serving the San Lorenzo Valley using an entertaining and educational format. The content is to be focused on local expertise on a wide array of subjects including local history, art, music, agriculture, weather, emergency information, upcoming community events, and our local economy. KBCZ is to be financially sustainable through donations and local business sponsorships.
So if you want to be part of the radio station, know what is going on, or give input please attend this workshop / meeting.

On Friday 10/24 the San Lorenzo Valley Water District announced a special meeting for this Tuesday 10/28 at 2:00pm. The purpose of the meeting is to review applications of candidates for the open position of district manager. Like all public meetings oral communications are allowed from the general public and each person is allowed 3 minutes. If you have any questions for the board that you would like answered before the election this is your last chance to ask them.

The 4th annual Harvest Festival is here and it is all about local food, drink, music, and artists; as well as being for the locals with information about many local organizations and a demo booth.
There will be hayrides and a bounce house for the children (wristbands are $10 for unlimited access). The adults get a beer and wine garden which is located behind Joe’s Bar and BC Hardware. (wristbands are $15 for a Festival glass and drink, additional drink tickets are $5 for beer and $6 for wine).
Lots of shopping for all with local artists, clothing, food, and more. Music is in three locations this year, see schedule above. There are also two contests to enter Home Brew and Jam Making, check out the website for entry forms and prizes.
