KBCZ Dance is Tonight!!
KBCZ’s first ever fundraiser is tonight! DJ’s spinning dance music from every era! Upstairs in the historic Odd Fellows building across from Joe’s. All ages welcome, under 18 must be accompanied by adult. Outstanding silent auction with kayak trips, Chardonnay Sails, Big Basin Stays, Hypnosis Sessions, Wine Tastings, Uke Lessons, so many cool items! Beer, wine, snacks, a Dessert Buffet by Dessert First and coffee. Come help us raise money to get Boulder Creek Community Radio Station up and running!! 7:00 to 11:00. 10.00 adults, 5.00 kids/with adult.
DIO Fest – April 25-27 – Camping, Music, Art and Food
The lineup has been posted. This will be three days of music, art and camping in the Santa Cruz mountains.
DIO Fest will be held at Camp Krem just up Big Basin Way the weekend of April 25th.

DIO Fest exists so that corporate mega-festivals don’t eventually rule the world. It exists to help us remember that the person on the stage is not so different from the person in the audience, or the local farmer that’s supplying the grinds. It serves to remind us that we can do great things when we come together.
KBCZ Dance Party is This Saturday Night!!
This Saturday night is the KBCZ Dance Party! Please come out and support our efforts in creating a community radio station right here in Boulder Creek! Our silent auction is shaping up in an exciting way. If you have friends or relatives coming to visit this year, you could give them a stay in a cabin provided by Big Basin State Parks or a kayak tour in Elkhorn Slough or a wine tasting for 10 in the beautiful vineyard of Savannah-Chanelle. We will have beer and wine and non-alcoholic drinks and delicious snacks provided by Boulder Creek Pizza and Pub and a scrumptious dessert buffet provided by Dessert First. Come and mingle and enjoy a laugh, you may get some of these items for a song! Speaking of songs, ask DJ Sam to play your favorite dance tune and have him dedicate it over the mic to whomever you wish! See you there this Saturday night at 7:00pm upstairs in the Odd Fellows Building!!

Local resident and Boulder Creek Elementary kindergartner Oliver is fighting Leukemia.

As many of you know 5 year old Oliver was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He’s anxious to get back to his kindergarten classmates at Boulder Creek Elementary but for now he is receiving treatment in Santa Clara. Parents and friends of his classmates are getting together to raise funds to support his family with the costs of treatment, travel costs to and from the hospital as his parents try to navigate work and caring for Oliver. We’d also like to raise funds to buy an iPad to be used so that Oliver can Skype with his classmates. Staying in touch with his friends will be an important part of his recovery. Please help if you can!

We have completed our brewery floor renovation and we’re celebrating with extended happy hour, a fresh batch of Dragon’s Breath IPA, and a very special beer. “The Trapper” is our Brettanomyces conditioned pale ale inspired by our favorite Brett. finished Trappist ale. Herbal hop aromas are complimented by a delicate fruitiness from wild yeast, creating a subtle ale with an unsurpassed depth of flavor.
