Creative changes to Barbara Day Park / Dam Park

Grace Gurreri has been working on a special project at Barbara Day Park. Her vision is a gently raised labyrinth constructed of plaster. The plaster itself of recycled components and mixed on site.

Working with Boulder Recreation and Park District on planning and implementing park upgrades, she is well on the way to creating a meditative walking path.

Boulder Creek Community Radio Station Get’s the Go-Ahead

June 6, 2013, Boulder Creek, CA-The Boulder Creek Rec Departments’ Board of Directors voted last night to move forward  with plans to obtain an FCC license that became available for a community radio station at 90.1 FM.  The public came out and voiced support for the community radio station and that did bode well in demonstrating the public excitement on this project.

Tess Fitzgerald was named Negotiator, to act as the Districts representative in talks with the owner of the license to construct and operate a non-commercial educational FM station (NCEFM).  Tim Welch was named Interim Director of the project and Tina Davey and Sam Peacock were named Assistant Interim Directors of the Boulder Creek Community Radio Project and to act as liaison with Board of the BCRPD and on behalf of the Project.

Want Boulder Creek Community Radio? Come Tonight!

The Board of Directors of the Boulder Creek Rec and Park District will be meeting tonight at 7pm.

The possibility of a community radio station serving Boulder Creek and the surrounding areas is a topic that will be discussed. Many town residents have been working together to make this a reality and it’s looking like it could happen.

If you’re in support please come out tonight and let your voice be heard! The meeting will be at the Recreation Hall Annex (The Rec Center) at 13333 Middleton Avenue, Boulder Creek.  Click HERE for more info….
