A Boulder Creek Resident sent in these pictures taken of someone who was snooping or “prowling” around their house yesterday morning. The last picture is of what they believe to be the person’s car – a blue SUV. If you have any info on this, please email us or comment below.

In The News: Barbara Day Park and crime

Joe Shreve at the Press Banner has posted an article regarding the issues at Boulder Creek’s Barbara Day Park. From the article:

“Several described Barbara Day Park — the dam park at Middleton and Fairview avenues — as a place where people are regularly drunk or high, party at all hours of the night and trespass onto private property. They said dogs are often allowed off their leashes, trash accumulates and broken glass and discarded hypodermic needles are common hazards.”

Below is a report and sketch from the Sherrif. If you have any info please call 471-1121.

On Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 11:00 p.m., a 16 year old female was attacked by an unknown male shortly after she got off a bus near Boulder Creek. The suspect attempted to grab the female from behind and grasped her hair. She screamed and the suspect fled in a white Toyota truck.

The victim told her father what happened and he went to the area where he saw a similar truck, but was unable to make contact. The father described the truck as a white 1993 or 1994 Toyota pickup truck single cab 4X4, slightly lifted with newer tires. The truck was missing the tailgate.

The victim described the suspect as a white male, in his 30’s, 6’00”, thin build, a bump on his nose, light brown or blond hair, with scruff along his jaw line and a goatee. He was wearing blue jeans and a white tank top. The victim had never seen the suspect before.

Attack At Junction Park!

This past Monday morning two men approached a Boulder Creek Rec staff member from different directions and attacked him. Click HERE to read the full article from the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

If anyone has any tips or info, please email us – right now the criminals have not been caught.

The Junction Park is a pretty place and it’s a shame to hear that the scum of this town are controling it. We sure do wish there was a deputy assigned full time to our town.

Fire Bug and Phone Pranker gets Arrested . . .

Don’t make Larry Bourdeau mad or.. He’ll try to burn your house down!

Larry was arrested this week for making 7 prank phone calls to 911. He dialed 911 from every pay phone in Boulder Creek and then left the phone off of the hook. He was later booked for trying to set fire to the Mountain Store. It sounds like two “hero” teenagers put the fire out at the Mountain Store.

Boulder Creek Trash

Boulder Creek is a great town with a lot of potential – mostly good people, good families doing their best to enjoy this amazing, beautiful place. But, as we all know and see everyday, there is another side to this town. . . .

There’s been a bit much of bad news, bad people, bad things and while we’d like to ignore it and pretend it doesn’t exist, we think it’s important to let it be known. In light of this decision, we’re beginning a new theme titled “Trash.” This is for all the meth heads, all the animal abusers, infant abusers, neo nazi wimpy white boys etc…. . .

Our first installment:

Erik Johnston – who was “angry” and tossed his 9-month old baby 20 feet in to the roadway!  Click HERE to read more from the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
